India has 31 World Heritage Sites approved by UNESCO. Here is the list with the description of those sites.
Jantar mantar(Rajasthan)
Rajasthan is one of the most vibrant and colorful states in India with its rich culture and traditions since ancient times. It is known as the land of warriors and beautiful princess who even chose to die for saving their chastity and had a great affinity with their motherland. Ajanta and Ellora caves are considered to be one of the most important tourist destinations in the world owing to the magnificent paintings of Ajanta and well-carved sculptures of Ellora. The rock-cut caves containing carvings are the finest example of Indian paintings and sculpture.
Taj Mahal (Agra).
Taj Mahal is the world's most iconic tribute to love and the crown jewel of India - Taj Mahal. The Mughal city of Agra is most famous for the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world as well as world Heritage named by UNESCO.
Red Fort(Delhi).
A historian's paradise, Delhi is home to a phase of history that speaks out from every nook and corner of the ancient city. The memories of the glorious age of the Mughal rulers is still alive in the city, with most of their architectural glories still standing as witnesses of the era gone by. One of these is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Red Fort or the well know Laal Quila.
